After the excesses of Christmas and New Year get back into shape with 5 games with old and new friends .
Last year, the Grand Hospitaller Trophy was won by the redoubtable Marco Baroni.
Will he retain it or will it be won by some new hero?
Come and enjoy friendly fun and games in Bonnie Scotland in January.

The theme this year is Golden Millenium 500 BC - 500 AD.
Lots of great choices - Persians, Greeks, Han, Romans, Carthaginians and many more.

Here are the details:

Dates: 16-17 January 2027.
Venue: Tradeston Ex-Servicemens, Club, 6 Beech Avenue, Glasgow, Scotland G41 5BY (just off the M
Rules: ADLG
Army size: 200pt
Scale: 15mm
Format: 3 games on Saturday, 2 on Sunday ( 9.00 for 9.30AM Start both days)
Theme: Golden Millenium 500 BC - 500 AD.
Cost: £35. This includes a sumptuous buffet lunch and coffee and tea at the start of both days.

So, let me know ASAP if you wish to be included.
(My apologies for announcing at Sgian Dubh that the Open would be on 30-31 January, but those dates became unavailable. If this has caused problems for you, let me know.)

New player here and never been to a tournament.

When the theme is 500 BC to 500 AD does that mean that the Army time period must fall within those dates or just that it was active between those dates and might exist outside as well? For example List 38 Early Macedonian is from 650 BC to 413 BC and overlaps.

It means any army that was active between the dates, but only allowed options or allies that also fall between the dates.
In your early Macedonian example, only options that are allowed from 500BC to the end date are allowed.
