o Combat factor of +1 against mounted, LI, LMI, MI and Levy
o Combat factor of +1 against HI only if attacking them on the flank or on the rear
Is the combat factor 1 (Levy) +1 (HI attacked in flank or rear)
or is it just 1, with HI interpreted at "other HI"? |

Great question!
Literally they should get +2 but I suspect the intent was only +1. +2 makes them better at Kn when doing this, which I suppose could be justified somehow or another, but does seem a bit odd… |

Looking at it again, it is clear +1 on rear or flank does not apply to Levy. When a factor is added it is always presented as a "Bonus". The second bullet is referring to units whose CF has not been determined by the first bullet.
In fact, it is perhaps better to think of Cv getting +1 against HI as well, but with regular (i.e. non-Levy) HI getting a +1 solid front bonus when attacked by Cv from the front.
Still the text would be far better if it simply said "other HI". |

I suspect they just overlooked that Levy are HI when writing this. |

What am I missing. p 22
CV attacking HI in the front is +0
CV attacking Levy in the front is +1
CV attacking HI in the flank/rear is +1
CV attacking Levy in the flank/rear is +1
p64
If you are the main unit in melee and on flank/rear +1
So CV vs HI and Levy are identical when attacked on flank/rear.
Or are you saying you wand CV vs Levy to be +1 vs Levy +1 additional when attacked on the flank +another +1 for the p64 modifier. |

People should assume you only get Levy once and not an additional +1 because of Levy and HI. We will get an official posting here to confirm. |
