Just trying to clarify some points that came up at a tournament this weekend.
When an included general charges into contact during the move phase, do all the following moves pay the extra 1cp for a general in melee ?, or does he have to make his charge last chronologically to avoid the 1 CP penalty.
Its fine point, but does the charge move, mean he is already in melee.
Its just that my general, usually plunges in first, then all the overlap/support moves follow. |

CP are spend regarding the general's situation at the begining of the round. So, if the genaral is contacting in a round, all moves of that round count as the general is not in melee.
this point is in FAQ. _________________ "Quand on a pas de technique, faut y aller à la zob"

Is there any order for declaring if a general is fighting.
I am going to attach to fight, well I will then, oh in that case I am not, well I wont then, actually I am going to after all etc etc etc |

Not officially (as far as I know).Â
However, if there is an issue, I would suggest that the phasing player should declare his intentions first. |

The standard ruled previously by the author is the decision to commit a non-included general to melee is made before that melee's die is rolled.
Obviously it is the player owning the commander whose die roll is the operative point of no return. |

I think the question is about the specific case where there is a melee and both sides have the option of including a general; who gets to declare first that he is including his general?Â
AFIIK, nothing in the rules covers this question of precedence, hence my suggestion that the phasing player decides first. |
