Can a unit that is permitted to disengage whose full move would take it off the board, actually disengage?

So you can take a round of fighting if it goes bad, you disengage and exit the board?

France is not a country of lawers, so we don't need writting this kinds of things.
In the same way, rules doesn't say we have to use a honest dice, or place the figurine on the table, and in particular no on neibour's table, neither it's forbideen throwings figs on ennemy's face, even if it's light troop.

You cannot choose to voluntary exit the table.
The only case you can do it is when you make an evade move. And in this case you are forced to exit if you are to close to the table edge.

So if a unit is 2UD from the edge and its disengage move is 3 UD, will stop at board edge. (obstacle)
Or is it prohibited from disengaging?
