As written, the attacker would have to start a bit "in front" (i.e. wide of the long edge), to do that. Not particularly difficult, of course, unless the WWg remain in column... |

Mark is hanging his hat on the flawed logic that if a War Wagon does not have flanks or a rear for combat purposes then it must not have them for contact purposes either. I believe this to be fallacious, no matter how often repeated. |
I’m sympathetic to Mark’s argument (or devil’s advocacy) here and think it’s reasonable…. My preferred solution is that this gets cleaned up with communication from on high.
BTW, it’s a shame that War Wagon models are so deep that they require special rules for dealing with such a deep model…. |

I am off to catch a flight to Alicante at 05.00 tomorrow morning (& it is now 22.47 here in the UK) so I will 'park' this all for now.
I'm still not 100% sure that I have made my argument clear at all.
But for now adieu!

Because WWg do not conform, I believe you could space them out less than 1UD apart, and form an essentially solid line. |

Hi Neep
TBF I cannot see the point, other than to prevent an attacker moving onto one of WWg's short base edges (which could still happen at either end of the line anyway)
However ...
a). it would stop the WWgs from offering simple support to each other
b). an attacker would still need to conform to the WWg (broken) line anyway
c). but as an attacker doesn't get simple support (via an overlap) being forced to comply doesn't really make any difference to the attackers offensive capabilities
d). you'd also have to space the gaps very carefully to ensure that enemy LI couldn't squeeze in through them with a side-step
So all in all I cannot really see the point?
Cheers
