P 83 allows up to 2 allies in 300 pt games. Does this allow you to take the same ally twice or do you have to have 2 different allies? (I don’t think any lists explicitly allow for taking duplicate ...

I really dislike the idea of rerolls. I think they distort some of the interactions and make powerful troops even more so as they can avoid the low odds result where they loose.

Does confirmation occur at the beginn8ngnif its Corps’ movement, or at the end, or whenever the owner desires?

Good question. I don’t think they do, the just conform as far as they can and then fight. The bowmen will then conform on their turn.

I don’t think conformation is chained. You conform to whomever you should at the end if your move/charge, not on any new target that is created during conformation.

Note that the charging player might be able to slide or wheel prior to the charge such that he does not touch 2 during the charge and thus will confirm B into support for A vs 1 rather than melee 2.

Thanks, Tim. I hadn’t seen it this way (i .e., not counting as a charge), but when you post the relevant rules it’s clear you are correct.

There are other unpleasant ways this could be used too - for example preventing LC from fleeing back through Cv or Kn, then kill the LC and inflict a hit on the Cv or Kn behind….

You are correct; if they are in position to provide support they count as providing support for the interpenetration rules.
