I made a ruling and was asked if i could double check.
#76 Scythian
Under what year and circumstances can you bring the Mountain Indian allies? Obviously the question relates to the full list or some sub-set of year and options. |

I could well be wrong, but the way the introduction reads, together with the way the list is presented, I suggest the Mountain allies may only be taken post 300BC as part of the Saka tribes "which settled in Bactria and northern India".
That said, there does not seem to be any distinctive troops for the the Massagetae or for the Hu |

I agree they have to be from 300 BC.
Citation: | Saka from 300 BC
Mountain Indian Allie’s (see list below) |
The issue is that because these allies can only post-300 BC, the nobles in a Skythian (Saka) list with Mountain Indian allies must be HC Impetuous, not HC Bw. |

Umm, I think if the player is using Mountain allies, this requires the use of a Saka army post 300BC, which in turn forces the player to use 0-4 Cataphract nobles instead of HC (impetuous or otherwise).Â
No?? |

Not got my rules at hand to read what is written, but historically Massagetea existed, and had Indian allies, long before that date. |
