How do you determine which is the larger flank march? Does each player declare how many units they have (remembering to count lights as 1/2)? So at that omens each player knows exactly how large the other player’s FM is? Or do you progressively declare what you are larger than until one player can’t continue? Or should some neutral party examine both and declare which is larger but not the size or composition of either?
Can both players choose not to bring on some units and treat them as lost? Or is this only permitted to an unopposed (or larger?) flank march? I can easily see where a player might want to avoid bringing on some of his trash if he is driven back - better to remove them from your army size than have them immediately crushed by a superior enemy - but is it allowed to do this voluntarily? |

So p79 all units must move onto the table.
So both players announce how many they have because this number is set.
There is no surprise element left at this point. Reveal the facts, play the game. |
