|
Sorry if this has come up before but I can't find it anywhere and its not in the FAQ.
We had a situation last week when placing terrain. We each had 2 pieces and my opponent went first. When it came to the placing of my second piece I rolled the same as my opponent in sector and location and when we measured it I could not place the piece and thus we discarded it as per top left of page 68 "If a terrain piece cannot be placed on the table it is simply discarded"
However bottom of P. 67 column 1 its states: "A player must place at last two different terrain elements on the battlefield". Since I had only picked two pieces I was not not placing two pieces on the table.
Which rules takes precedence? |

p 68.
What you list on page 67 comes first. A pace must select those pieces to be placed.
Then the pieces are rolled for and if they cannot be placed p 68. |

This appears to be an example of English language editing, ahem, lack of precision.
You must CHOOSE at least 2 terrain pieces (in addition to any compulsory piece you are required to “choose†as the defender).
Bad luck if you can’t PLACE some, or all, of the pieces you have chosen (the defender’s compulsory piece is placed first). |
