|
Hi all
I've never seen it played under this ruleset, but is it acceptable to pay for fortifications to cover the flank as well as the front of any unit defending them? eg an artillery piece in a three fortification redoubt with front and flanks protected. It would be rather neat if was (and surely not unrealistic)
On p69 it says that fortifications must "touch and be aligned with each other, or seperated by at least 1 UD"
Whatever the original French says, in English aligned can mean: "to change something so that it has a correct relationship to something else" as well as "to put two or more things into a straight line". Has translation lost (or added) anything here?

Hi Adrian,
The fortifications have to form a line, no corner. |

page 69 bottom of left column clarify this nicely.
"fortifications must touch and be aligned with each other or separated by at least 1 UD"
so this rule eliminates corners. |

I believe that you could use a fortified camp to protect your side edge.
