Hi All ,
Happy New Year
Quick question
An impetuous unit destroys its opponent in melee, does it have to move forward even if it's providing side support to another unit in combat ? |

Page 62, para 2, sentence 2.
"Pursuit is mandatory for impetuous units which must pursue one complete UD except in the following (4) cases:..."
None of the 4 exclusions includes providing side support to another unit in combat. |

It only pursues if it destroys the enemy in impetuous unit's turn. If the enemy unit is destroyed in the enemy's turn there is no pursuit. |

Ah yes, page 62, para 1, last sentence, "Only the phasing player's units can perform a pursuit." |

That is the downside of impetuous units. They are...impetuous. |

Its actually important that they don't pursue in enemies turn because that would put you into a position to radically exploit a victory.
Punching a hole give support +1, but the ability to turn on to flanks is devastating. If you allows the attacker to hit, then in opponents turn win and pursue. When it cam back to their turn they would rip apart the opponents line. |

Well yes they're impetuous but giving flank support stops an uncontrolled
charge so it seems a little strange it doesn't stop a pursuit |
