|
Hi
Been playing a few games and we are having some issues with Group moves and ZOC.
When a group moves (not charges) into more than one enemy ZOC does it split to align or simply stop in ZOC
Group moves state that groups can only split if Interpenetrating or Charging but ZOC rules state that when a Unit (not Group ?) Enters a ZOC it is restricted to certain moves.
Cheers

That's correct for interpenetration and charge = A group may split.
But in normal group move you start all together, you can't join a unit during the move neither drop one or more, it means that the group remains linked.
And once a ZOC is entered the unit ZOCKED stops and so all the group also.
Now it's time to do the moves allowed in a ZOC as a group = no more move, pivot IOT be align, progress to the ENY most dangerous, etc...

Agreed Brave Coeur. If you are not charging, the Group stops when any unit in the group hits an enemy ZoC.
Groups of Units p10 states that the units must form a valid group at the start of their move, and that it must be maintained up to the end of the move, except as you have noted. If you want to make a multiple move, some or all of these units can form a new group.
As BC says, once you are in the ZoC of an enemy unit, your options are much more limited. Basically you can turn towards the most dangerous enemy, or turn and move directly away from the most dangerous enemy. Re-read p34 on these options. |
