Excuse me if I'm sounding idiotic......
Can anyone suggest why I shouldn't rebase my figures, except the cavalry, and the light infantry, on 60mm squares? My army has been based and rebased over the years, and I am determined that this will be the last time!
My chosen army is the Berbers and I was going to put a few archers on the same squares to represent 'support"
Many thanks in advance
Mike

I don't see why you couldn't. In fact it would be easier to use square bases for the game. And 60 by 60 mm is for 25mm miniatures, I suppose. _________________ C'est un Germain Breton, il faut pas le secouer trop fort, meme s'il le demande.

Thanks for your help. Most of my opponents use the old DBM bases. Although my figures are massive Artizan ones I thought I'd better use the smaller base sizes. I did intend using a smaller number of figures though, to fit them on. I had started doing this when they were based for DBM and thought they looked good. I think I am single handedly destroying the World's supplies of MDF and grit
Cheers

We often base 28mm figures on 60 x 60 mm bases in Bordeaux and Toulouse (the very few french 28mm tournaments). That is the case for Cavalry, knights (Perry Knights don't suit on 40mm deep bases), Light Horses. And why not HI.
Cheers

60mmx60mm bases is the better way for 25-28mm miniatures.
If you can't put on it the exact number of miniatures it's nnot very important. _________________ Hasta la victoria Siempre!

Thank you both for your replies. We have a small competition here in Slimbridge in a few weeks so I will have to get basing. Maybe a Franco-British competition in the future???
I always buy the massive figures like Artizan or Front Rank so I'm going to be very sparing with the numbers. It does mean that my old DBM army allows me to complete nearly every option in the Berber list!
All the Best
