Hello All,

I hope this finds everyone well and that you can join us at the Falkirk Summer Bash 2026.

We are going to try something different this year as set out below.

The details -

Dates: 22nd & 23rd August 2026
Venue: The Arena Gaming Centre, 4 Main St, Brightons, Falkirk FK2 0JT

Times – Meet 0900 for 0930 am start on both days.

Maximum number of players: The venue has permanent tables and can comfortably accommodate as many as want to play.

Number of rounds: 4 games - 2 on the Saturday and 2 on the Sunday. Games to last 3hrs 30 mins but must have completed 4 turns for each player by the 2hr mark or blitz will be enforced to ensure this number of turns has been reached. Dice down when time called.

Format: 330 points, single list, Doubles.
Table sizes 6ft x 4ft.
Scale: 15 mm
Additional info - The maximum points will be 330 divided into 4 commands. All Big Battle rules for 300 points will apply as set out on page 83. The setup will be as per the Deployment zone for non-standard table size rules on page 78.

ALL TEAMS must have a maximum of 3 words whimsical name, so as to fit onto the scoring file name boxes. There will be a prize for the best one submitted!

Special procedures - ADLG v4 and any amendments published prior to the date of the competition.

1st round pairing: No club matchups in first 2 games, Swiss chess thereafter.
Dice will be provided, and only these dice to be used. Leave the dice on the table at the end of each game.
Mats – we’ve got a number but bring one if you’ve got one or prefer your own.

The cost will be £35 (we're looking into a PayPal option but pay on the day will still be available), which will include lunch both days. The venue sells hot & cold drinks at reasonable prices.

Below is the draw for game 3.
The Chaos Unit III are well ahead going into game 3, but can their luck hold against the cataphract horde of the Tin Can Tankers?
There are some photos on the FB event bit. We have a bottle of malt and every shooting or melee 6/1 is celebrated by the player throwing the 1 by having a nip and raising the glass to Frazer. There are a couple who have visited 6 or 7 times, and that very well have contributed to the Hairy Garlic Munchers winning game 1 but spectacularly crashing in game 2.
