Here is a simple one that I don't know the answer to
H
LL
H is a unit of heavy infantry L and L represent two LI in a group. The left most LI is aligned with the HI
The LI move as a group and interpenetrate the HI. The leading edge of the left LI makes it through but the entire unit does not.
Page 39 says the LI is advanced to fully cross the HI to adjust position
But this makes the group be split
So is that okay?
If the LI were evading no problem, but a group move normally has to remain as a group at the end of a move.
So is it:
1. The left LI is adjusted, the right is not and the group is broken
2. Both LI are adjusted to keep the group together
3. If you will be broken up like this you cant make the move
4. Something we did not consider
In the game where it came up we decided it was too hard and just did a different move instead... |

I believe it is 1. Page 10 says the group must end together but there are exceptions like charge and interpenetration adjustments. |
