I might have missed something in a previous thread, but there appears to be an inconsistence in the Hindu Indian list #170 Page 187.

In the core list the War Elephants & escorts* are listed as: Elephants elite @16pts 2-6

However, in the sub-section to convert the list to Palas Dynastie it states:
Replace all elephants*
Elephants elite @ 16 pts 2-6

There is obviously an error here - should the Palas Dynastie elephants be required to be downgraded to Elephants 'ordinary' @ 13pths or should the War Elephants & escorts* in the main core list actually be Elephants 'ordinary' @ 13pts (or should this statement about Palas Dynastie elephants just be ignored?).

TBF whilst my knowledge of Indian military history is 'adequate', for the life of me I cannot see the difference between Palas Dynastie elephants and those of the other Hindu states.
But I think having the option to have the core War Elephants to be fielded as Elephants 'ordinary' and upgraded to elite (if desired) would be perfectly acceptable, especially as this list covers a vast variety of different Hindu states (both geographically & historically) and many of them had varying access to elephants and sometimes differing emphasis on elephant warfare.
