Do Catafracts count as Super heavy "Cavalry", i.e. Heavy Chariots use a factor +2, or are catafracts a separate class HCh +1
I suppose I could ask the same thing versus knights.
Is "Cavalry" a generic term for anything on a horse, or are Catafracts, Knights, other Chariots different classes. |

The troop classes and sub-types are all described on pp13-15.
Anything with 4 legs somewhere on the base is "Mounted" as opposed to anything with 2 legs which are "foot".
The Cavalry class / category (Cv) covers Medium and Heavy cavalry, light chariots and Medium camelry.
Knights class / category (Kn) covers Medium and Heavy Knights, Cataphracts and Heavy Chariots.
The different characteristics of each class and sub-class are presented on p20, and again on the quick reference sheet. |

Have a look at the quick reference sheet : You'll see that there's a great difference between Knights and Heavy charriot when they figth against Cataphracts |
