Finally got all the miniatures I need for my two HYW armies. I know I will base my heavy infantry as 8 on one base. How about crossbows and longbow? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. Looking forward to this first ADLG project. |

My HYW figures (Khurasan) have also just arrived. I plan to base ALL (15mm) troop types on 40x40mm bases. |

I have been painting up some of the new Khurasan mounted knights and personally I am a little disappointed. The horse's rear legs are buckled and it is hard to straigthen the legs without breaking them. Also I do not think the figures have a lot of detail on them. If Donnington figures were taller they would be a better figure. |

Me too for all the LMIs. And by doing 2 times 4x2cm base instead of a 4x4cm one, you can have also a LI (often a choice in the army list to get a bowmen or a LI Bow, javelinmen or a LI Jav etc...)

Oh that’s a shame! They look so good in the website photos
How are you dealing with lances - using them as cast (risking them bending etc) or drilling them out and replacing with steel lances? |

I am using them as they are and the lances are quite soft and bend easily another disappointment. I had not thought of drilling them out it shuold just be possible I might give that a go. |
