Facing a French player using Middle Imperial Roman, I won initiative and expecting to attack in plains or mountains was thrown aback to be offered forest.
English readers p126 list 85 are forest less but french readers get forest as an option.
Who should gain or loose?
Has this been amended on the French side already? _________________ Player 747 don't call me Jumbo |

in French version, high, middle and late imperial Romans have plain/ mountain/ forest as their terrains.
Maybe at this time the British deforestation was early? _________________ Audentes fortuna iuvat. |

I would have thought that it should be based on the language of the country where the game is being held for example if in is a comp being held in England then the English version of the rules are the gold standard. Otherwise if the umpire does not have a copy of the other language rules or can not read another language how can they make a ruling. |

Interesting theory. Not all nations have an official language.
I agree, what you suggest seems common sense. I suspect this will be cleaned up in the next FAQ. |

Yep, the Earlies and Lates both get forest, but not the Middles.
Also, Little Army Designer gives the Middles forest too. _________________ Putting the ink into incompetence |
