Warfare 2026 - L'Art de la Guerre
Following the near-60-strong turnout across 15mm and 25mm in 2025, at Warfare this year there will be three ADLG periods.
- 15mm - The Americas
- 15mm - The Classical World
- 25mm - The Time of the Crusades
All three periods will be played to V4 plus any FAQ and amendments in place by the date of the event.
All armies in all three themes are to be 200 points, and we will use standard sized tables of 120cm x 80cm for 15mm and 180cm x 120 for 28mm. Players must bring their own terrain pieces and ideally playing mats too.
The 25/28mm period is for armies based on '25mm bases' with 60mm base widths.
Running Order
- Saturday : Three Games
- Sunday : Two Games
Games will be 2 hours 20 mins plus a 1-15 min(s) variable addition determined by the period umpires.
- Saturday 09:00-11:30, 12:15-14:45, 1500-1730 (everyone must be out of the building by 6pm)
- Sunday 09:30-12:00, 13:00-15:30
When time is called there will be a 'hard stop' to the games - put the dice down, and work out the result. We know there are pros and cons to this system, but it is the same for everyone and greatly helps the overall organisation of the whole event (we are inputting scores and calculating draws for maybe 60 players across three competitions) by preventing games dragging on and holding up the scoring. A more detailed explanation of this process may be found on the BHGS website.
Scoring will be done using the usual French system. We will aim to manage the draw to keep apart players from the same club for at least the first 3 rounds, and also for subsequent rounds for players towards the bottom end of the draw.
We will also do our best to ensure that any overseas players do not have to play opponents from the same country at any point during the entire event, unless this cannot be realistically avoided at the very top end of the draw in the final couple of rounds.
Umpires : Tim Porter, Kevin Johnson plus the usual cabal of experts who'll be playing anyway
List Checkers :
- 15mm Kevin Johnson - kevinj@btinternet.com
- 25mm Tim Porter - lists@madaxeman.com
Please use the Official spreadsheet format downloadable from the ADLG website and submit your lists in the original Excel file format (not saved as pdf, not using your own special spreadsheet, not a photo of a hand written note etc etc..) as this makes list checking much less onerous.
Please also specify which commander is C-in-C, the date of your list(s) plus any option taken, and include your ADLG ID number if you have one.
List submission deadline 5th November 2026.
How do I enter?
Use the online booking form on the WAR Warfare Tournaments page on the WAR website. The Warfare event is run and administered by WAR, meaning that neither Tim nor Kevin have "live" access to the booking system to process any changes, transfers or cancellations.
Theme Details
15mm - The Americas
This will be (we believe) the first purely "Americas"-themed ADLG event in the UK, allowing these often little-used but overly-colourful 15mm armies to take to the tabletop in a field entirely composed of their geographic contemporaries. The lists allowed are any list from the "Americas" section of the Army Lists, 283-300 - including the "Cortez" options for Texcala.
15mm - The Classical World
Being conscious that not every gamer will have an army for the Americas theme, our second 15mm theme is one which sits squarely in the "you've got this" bracket, covering any of the armies and enemies around in the time of Alexander the Great & The Successors. Lists must be valid 355BC-64BC (the start of Alexandrian Macedonian to the end of the Seleucid list) and drawn from the following list:
