Hello all,
Am considering the Sabir Hun option for List 110. Any clues as to what the medium impetuous swordsmen are supposed to look like? Even better, can someone suggest a suitable miniature range?

So, I think this is believed to be an early Turkic or late Skythian sarmatian tribe.
Likely to have, what we would consider, more steppe or chinese influence not so much mideastern or european.
Likley pants.
archeological evidence now suggests the skytian and sarmatian tribes were far more advanced, settled and extensive than one might think.
We now think this kind of nobility had armor. So chieftans and warlords would have some.
What i don't know is what would be the close combat weapon most figures seems to be thrusting spears. I don't know what that is based upon.
There appear to be a number of figure lines you can use. Khursan, Essex.
I would not use goths or anything like that. |

Thank you, sir!
May give the Xyston 'Scythian Subject Warriors' a go.

Those look sort of right I would imagine. *(based on scant knowledge)
The only thing, it looks like they are half shirtless. Not sure I would agree with that.
Maybe mix in some of Xyston Armenian Hillmen ANC 20288 tooo
I don't look at Xyston often enough. They are nice figures. |
