Sorry guys another question about placing terrain
P67 states a player cannot choose more than two identical pieces of terrain. My Arabs defend in the desert a lot so I want as much Sand dunes as possible. Given one is compulsory and not chosen by me can I pick two more or am I limited to one more.
Thanks

Hi Ian
Page 67 clearly states "A player cannot choose more than two identical terrain elements".
This includes the compulsory terrain element and is how it has always been ruled in the games I've played. I've just checked the FAQ and official amendments and see nothing else on this.
The ADLG facebook group was discussing the same question over the last 2 days.

Take the compulsory sand dune.
Choose 1 more sand dune.
Choose the gentle hill covered in brush - camels treat brush as open terrain and LI can ambush inside it. This provides a near equivalent to a third sand dune.
This counts as “chosing†only 2 terrain pieces allowing you 2 chances to adjust terrain. |
