Please, I need your opinions about one question.

I think de difference in weight between dice results and conbat factors is unbalanced.

What dou you think to play without 1 and 6 in combat?
If you roll 1 or 6 you must roll again.

There is the option to play with average dice.

One of the attractions of adlg to new players is that the tournament tigers are not guaranteed to win every combat. A new player can throw 6 versus 1 and still have a chance for some fun against the tiger!

It is no fun for newbies to play in a tournament and always get smashed by the tigers every game, so they stop playing the hobby. With 6-1 at least they have a small chance with lady luck. The tigers still win most of their games, but at least the newbies are not discouraged from playing.

I recommend using three packs of cards, extracting all ace to “6†to create two decks, red and black, of 36 cards for each player, and drawing a card every time a dice would normally be thrown. 
This approach ensures that both players have the same ‘luck’ and a completely standard distribution of all numbers, though it does not remove the possibility of getting a 6-1.

I like the luck factor and think it works well. Skill (read deep rules understanding and tactics) often wins but the 6-1 makes it a much better game for everyone.

But as has been said average dice can be used. It reduces the luck factor, gives experienced players a boost and makes elite troops a great choice.

Fine as is. I see stronger players winning most of the time. In a game of two equals playing equally well, yes luck, even small amounts, may be decisive. But what else would be?

Use the three rerolls system. I think it can help with those decisive and unexpected disasters without seriously modifying the game which average dice do.

I think reducing luck increases the power of good players.

A 6-1 is an important outcome.
Also understand eliminating both 6 and 1 changes the maximum range by TWO. Instead of a difference of +/-5 you get +/-3

With a maximum differential of 3 then the power of elite becomes more profound as that reduces the maximum difference to +/-2.

It also underscores the values of armor potentially further reducing the difference.

You will have to decide what happens Mediocre. But they are probably weaker or certainly no better.

You make low odds high return attacks more improbable.

Consider a legion charged by HC impact. This 1 v1 could be a 2 v 7 now with three hits and furious charge. 3% of the time. Under your proposal. Legion will NEVER be at risk of being destroyed.

So everyone will power up units. Frontal fights will take longer.

Yeah the 6-1 results hurt and they seem to occur more than every 36 dice rolls but if you are have a bad die rolling game the 5-2 results hurt just as much. You need that level of variation because it takes into account numerous things that affect battles but can never be modelled.
