Apologies if this has been brought up before but it was late and we were tired.Â
Two light crossbows are skirmishing Directly in front of a group of their own heavy Foot ( bases touching ). Â The heavy foot charge, inter penetrate the light crossbows and drive off the pesky opponents. Amid much cheering the light crossbows realise they have not been displaced and opt to move in the current turn.Â
Given they were not displaced can they interpenetrate the heavy foot and move forward to once more engage with their slightly further away but evading opponents ?
Or to put it another way : can you interpenetrate again if you’ve been interpenetrated already but not displaced ?
As I said it was late and we were tired.Â
Thanks. |

Yes.
You have laid the rationale out correctly. Just because your LI crossbow were interpenetrated (not displaced) they are not prohibited from moving. If they choose to interpenetrate their previous interpenetrators that’s fine.
From memory there have been other examples in the past of leap-frog interpenetrations by evading units. |

Yes, as the others have said.
Basically, if the LI are displaced backwards by being interpenetrated, they may still be moved again in the current turn.Â
However, if they have been displaced by the conformation of the charging units, this conformation (and the displacement) occurs after normal movement, so units displaced this way may not move again. |

My reading of the OP was that the question related to a simple interpenetration where all opponents evaded. There was no contact, conformation or displacement involved (which, as you indicate, can result in a different answer). |
