Just found a new rule (for me) today.
Page 18 of the English rules says that mixed units & medium sword bow get missile support.

This of course makes perfect sense! though I had missed it bef ...

We've been playing a lot recently but I'm getting a bit fed up of the 300v300 pitched battle.

Not when the lines are fighting maybe, but in the initial manoeuvring turns I often find I have many pips and nothing to do..

In DBMM for example just to wheel a group costs an extra pip if they ar ...

garyp - we didn't find that melee becomes more lengthy really, the ADLG melee is already pretty brutal.. when the line collapses it still tends to fall to bits quickly.. you still see a lot of +3 swin ...

We have recently been playing with a D4 for melee only.
Everything else remains D6.

Elite +1 if you roll a 1 or 2. Poor/Mediocre -1 if you roll a 3 or 4.

And when you charge as a group, if one unit would overlap (support) against an enemy unit, I can choose for the supporting unit to move past the enemy front and end, say side to side - ...
